Grady Playing in the March Snow

Grady has really enjoyed playing in the snow today and yesterday. Though the mountains were orginally going to miss out on much of the snow, we ended up with 4.4" here at our house, with anywhere from 3 - 16 inches across the mountains on Western NC. This is the most snow we have had at our house since living here. It has been fun. Yesterday the snow began around 1:00, but did really not begin accumulating till 4:30. We ventured out late afternoon while it was snowing and enjoyed what we thought may be all we would get. Grady did some sledding on the hill next to our house and around the yard:

Between 4:30 and 8:30 last night, it snowed 4", and continued to snow lightly till midnight. This morning we woke to a winter wonderland, and continued light snow and flurries. After it warmed to 22 degrees, we headed out, knowing the March sun angle would not allow the snow to hang around long. We did more sledding, made snowballs, and a snowman:
